Okay, so I've decided how I'm going to "reboot" my life, but I'm going to try to not go on an entire juice diet just yet.  I've got a plan and for me, it normally helps if I write said plan down.  First, I'm going to have to get all of the sugar out of my house, but that's going to be hard with two little ones running around.  My middle child, D, takes his lunch to school everyday, so he has chips, cookies, and fruit snacks that he takes every day.  To keep myself from eating these things, I'm going to prepackage everything out.  So, I'm going to get the ziplocs out when I get home and I'm going to measure out his cookies, his daily snacks, and his chips and whatnot and set them where he can get to them when he packs his lunch each day.  After that, I'm going to just rid the house of anything that's not healthy or at least semi-healthy.  You may be asking why I'll let D take cookies and chips to school.  Answer is simple, I don't want to alienate him by sending him with only healthy snacks. I'm going to wean him into it and if he gets to where he wants to take just healthy snacks, then I'll transform his lunches.  If I don't ease him in, he'll just ditch his lunch and take whatever processed thing the school offers for lunch everyday.  I do have this fear that I'm not going to be able to do this any other way, but juicing, but for now, I'm just going to cut sugar and whatnot and start by cooking and avoiding fatty things all the way.  As I type this, I've just eaten my last cupcake (thank you to my friend, Jill) and I'm sipping on my last Dr. Pepper.  Better make it to 4:30 because it's seriously the last one I'm going to have.  I've done great at home.  I've replaced Dr. Pepper with sweetened tea.  It's not perfect, but it's a huge step.  I'm one of those people who has to have a soda to eat, so being able to replace the soda with something that's not full of sugar and caffeine, then I'm doing pretty well.  We also haven't been eating out at all lately.  On weekends I cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Weeknights I cook.  I bring the leftovers to work for lunch to keep myself from trekking to Taco Bueno for a $6.50 heart attack waiting to happen.  My biggest obstacle is going to be learning how to do this without slipping back every time we have a food day at work or something else.  What do I do when my best friend wants to run to Taco Bueno or Arby's for lunch?  Do they have anything healthy?  Do I break the rules occasionally?  If I break the rules, then I know I'll keep doing it because that's human nature.  I'm also going to have to learn to let E go at night instead of talking to him until 2 AM because we're 6 hours apart.  I love hearing his voice and he helps me get relaxed enough to sleep, but I have to accept that I need to not stay up past midnight.  I'm going to have to start getting up to work out in the mornings because with D starting cub scouts, I'm losing my biggest cardio and fat burner - Turbo Kick.  This is going to be hard, but I have faith in myself.  I'm going to take some before pictures when I get home tonight and we'll see how this goes.  Wish me luck!
I'm new to this site, but have an old blog on Xanga that I used to update pretty regularly.  I've been getting a lot of people who want me to post my work outs and my exercises, but I don't want to spam up my facebook, so I decided a blog was the right route to go.  I'm not going to sit here and pretend that my family and I eat healthy 100% of the time because well, we just don't.  Most of my recipes have cheese, cream, etc in them and by default really aren't that healthy, but it brings my kids to the table to eat and we don't eat a bunch of processed fast food.  Now, I do go to they gym at least 3 days a week, yes, with my kids.  My gym has a daycare and it's great.  I'm a ZUMBA junkie and I do Turbo Kick once a week.  I also try to do yoga, but sometimes by the time ZUMBA is over, I just have to head home and eat some dinner because I'm exhausted from working an 8 hour day.  I am a single mother of three.  Two of my kids live at home with me and my oldest lives with my mom and step-dad.  There's a lot to that and some day I'll take some time to explain it, but for now, know that I have two boys 100% of the time on my own and that I do everything around the house, work 40 hours a week, and make it to the gym as often as I can.  With that being said, I hope you enjoy my blog and feel free to let me know what you'd like to see on here.

Thanks,
